Fair Train

The Fair Train is the best way to get to the Alaska State Fair. Save on fuel and headaches!

Avoid the traffic jams and enjoy a scenic and relaxing ride. The train operates weekends during the Alaska State Fair, held in late August


2009 Blues Train - Sept 26-27
The Alaska Railroad's got the blues. Ride the rails to Seward and take in the sweet sounds of the blues.

This train travels roundtrip from Anchorage to Seward, curving along Turnagain Arm before heading deep into the lush alpine regions of the Chugach National Forest on its way to the shores of Resurrection Bay.

The Microbrew Express travels 80 miles roundtrip from Anchorage to Portage and features an impressive assortment of the finest local microbrews and incredible scenery of Turnagain Arm. Holiday Train to Seward - December 5, 2009
The Alaska Railroad Holiday Train to Seward is a wonderful way to get into the spirit of the season.

Easter Train - April 3, 2010
