Alaska Rail Marine offers a combination rail-water-rail service to transport your freight to and from Alaska and the Lower 48.

Rail cars are loaded onto rail equipped barges, which leave Seattle every week, year-round. At Whittier, the Alaska Railroad unloads the rail cars and routes them to destinations along the rail belt from Whittier and Seward (another port facility) North to Fairbanks.

We provide computerized car location information, whether the rail car is in Florida, Seattle, Alaska, or points in between. We can assist you in logistics for your move, load planning, and finding the best equipment for your needs for a seamless operation.
